Procedure and Telehealth Updates for our Patients

Digestive Health Specialists of the Southeast is taking extra precautions to provide the safest environment possible to all of our patients. Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, all elective non-urgent procedures at Southeast Health, Flowers Hospital, and Surgery Center South will be canceled and rescheduled. At this time, Dothan Surgery Center is remaining open, but is operating with a consolidated schedule. Procedures scheduled for Dothan Surgery Center may be rescheduled if necessary.
All four office locations (Dothan Main, Dothan East, Ozark and Enterprise) are remaining open, and we are still seeing patients during normal business hours. Upon arrival at any of our locations, you will be pre-screened before check in for your appointment.
Telehealth services have been approved for all insurances, which allows you a virtual visit with one of our providers without having to be in the office. You will be asked to provide a valid email address upon scheduling one of these appointments. When your provider is ready to connect with you for your telehealth visit, you will receive a link via email or text message.
The easiest way to connect to this service is to click on the provided link from your cell phone. This allows your phone to act as both a video camera and a microphone, and this will allow our service provider the opportunity to discuss your visit with you via video chat. More information is available if you are unsure of how to use this telehealth feature.
We encourage all of our patients to reach out to our office if you have any concerns about your treatments or procedures. Guidelines for COVID-19 prevention and treatment are changing every day, and we are doing our part to encourage social distancing while still meeting the needs of our patients and community.
